Currency Import: You can bring any amount of money into the Dominican Republic; however, if the amount exceeds $10,000 (or its equivalent in another currency), it must be declared to the authorities.
Tourists may bring personal items into the country. These include clothing, personal hygiene products, sunscreen, a computer, a camera, a cellphone, and two sports equipment items.
Alcoholic Beverages: A maximum of 3 liters per person (adult).
Cigarettes: A maximum of 20 packs of cigarettes, 20 cigars, and 200 grams of tobacco per person (adult).
Medications: The import of medications for personal use is allowed. If you are bringing prescription medications that are regulated, it is advisable to carry a medical certificate.
Food Items: Generally, the import of food (fruits, vegetables) is restricted, but sealed food items (e.g., chocolate) are usually permitted.
If you are traveling with a child, you may also bring a stroller, portable crib, or a car seat into the country.

Rum: Dominican rum is world-famous, and you can take up to 3 liters per person (adult).
Cigars: A maximum of 20 packs of cigarettes, up to 25 cigars, and 200 grams of tobacco per person (adult) is permitted.
Coffee: Local coffee is a specialty, and you can take a maximum of 1 kg home.
